Start with the intended use
Tell us where the bedding will be used, the feel you want and how it will be washed. These requirements help frame the fabric and finishing discussion.
Look closer
Use this guide to prepare your bedding brief and ask useful questions during sample review.

A buyer’s fabric guide
A fabric is more than its thread count. Look at the material, construction, feel and finish together.
Agree the composition for your intended use.
Compare texture, drape and the desired feel.
Discuss fabric weight and thread count in context.
Review the edges, seams and required measurements.
Approve a reference colour before production.
Discuss care, shrinkage and colourfastness requirements.

Ask about the fibre or blend, weave and fabric weight. Compare the actual sample for softness, surface, drape and opacity rather than judging by a single number.
Thread count describes the number of threads in a given area of woven fabric. It is one specification, alongside the yarn, fibre, weave and finishing; it should not be treated as a complete quality grade.
Provide the measurements you require, including the unit. Review hems, seams and pillow-cover closure details on the sample, and agree any sizing allowances before production.
Screen colours and lighting can change how a shade appears. Review and approve the actual fabric sample as the colour reference for your order.
Share your intended wash process and any requirements for dimensional change or colourfastness. Agree the relevant sample checks and care guidance rather than assuming universal performance.
